Once upon a time...

I met Josh soon after his dad moved in two houses down from me during the summer before our freshman year. It was an instant crush for my very shy teenage self with fresh braces, but little did I know what the future held.

The Twist

While Josh and I did date through the final two years of high school, we broke if off as friends and more like brother and sister.

Josh's family kicked him out of his house shortly before his senior year and my parents were kind enough to take him in to live with us. Over time, we have remained good friends and he still calls my parents mom and dad.

Love Walked In

Josh met and dated Christina after we broke up and I was at college during my freshman year. Josh stayed behind to work and live with my parents before joining the Marine Corps.

They dated a while and then during my sophomore year of college, Josh and I got back together briefly after he graduated from Marine Corps boot camp.

As Time Went On...

Josh and Christina found their way back to each other and eventually married in Las Vegas in 2004 without family present. They've been happily married ever since and have added three amazing kids to their household: Ayden, Reece, and Mya.

Faith & Love

Josh grew up in the Church of the Latter Day Saints and has raised his family with those same ideals and faith. Because of his strong faith and love of his family, he wanted to be officially sealed to his family. Thankfully, Kansas City is home to one of the Mormon temples and I was honored to capture some post-sealing photos, including the full group of witnesses on October 9, 2021.
