Once Upon A Time...

I first met the mom, Carrie, over 30 years ago when I was still in elementary school and she was fresh out of cosmetology school. She started doing spiral perms for me at a young age and I've been seeing her regularly as my hairstylist since that time. To say I've been around through it all is the truth! She hadn't married her husband yet and obviously not had her kids. She's even seen me grow up, go to college, get married, and have my own daughters!

The Other Day...

It seems like just yesterday that Carrie's kids, Jackson & Abby, were still in elementary school and living at home. I was honored to take Jackson's senior photos several years ago. It was fun seeing them and getting them in front of my camera again (I first did their family photos over 10 years ago)!

Both kids are now in college. Jackson is at UCM in Warrensburg, MO (my alma mater) and Abby is at Missouri Western in St. Joseph, MO. It's crazy how quickly time flies!

Love Is Strong

One of the things I've always loved about Carrie and the Eaton family is their love for each other and others around them. Marriage and raising a family is not easy and their love has only gotten stronger over the years. They continually give me hope as I'm raising my three girls and trying to balance all the insanity life has thrown our way. It is all POSSIBLE!

New To Farm Life & Loving it!

Once the kids were off to college, Carrie & Curt decided it was time to change things up. Rather than doing the typical downsize, the Eaton's decided to go big! They moved from their suburban home in Lee's Summit to a farm with almost 15 acres of land plus a barn, spacious home, and chickens. I never thought I'd see the day that Carrie would love having chickens!

Never A Dull Moment

One of the biggest things I've learned about having a family is you need to be able to have fun with life. The Eaton family showed this as well. It's such a fun time being around them and capturing the real...humor, life, personalities, and more!

Up Next...

The O'Brien Family! Stay tuned to see some great photos of them on their family farm as well. Who knew I'd be doing photos at several farms?! Love it!
