Family Swap
No, we didn't swap our families, but I did exchange a family session with another photographer in California on our long family vacation this year.
I found Christina through a mutual Facebook photography group 2 years ago and we agreed to meet up for a second family session swap this year (only reason we didn't last year was COVID).
The Struggle is REAL
Okay, so it's not a struggle for most people, but when you're a mom AND a photographer, it's often hard to get photos of your family where you're actually IN the photo. I love being able to swap sessions with a fellow mom-tographer so we can both have some great photos WITH our families!
Gotta love the BEACH!
I love being from Missouri, but I LOVE going to the beach, especially for photo sessions! The sound of the waves is so soothing and pairing it with a gorgeous sunset is like a dream! The sky from our first swap in 2019 was far prettier, but I still love the moodiness of the clouds this year!
It's not JUST about the kids
Another thing that we mom-tographers struggle with is getting nice photos with our SPOUSES. We love showing off our love for our WHOLE family and it was fun being able to capture this fun kiss as the water came up the coastline around their feet!
I'm ready for adventure!

About Crescent Bay Beach
Not being a resident of California, I did not know this beach existed until Christina told me about it. It's a large cove area with a beach that has an almost hidden entrance in a nice neighborhood. I loved that it was tucked away and had far fewer people on the beach plus some awesome rocks to add as a fun background for photos.
